Pause or delete your Yeax account

Two ways out, with equal weight

Pause. You disappear for everyone and nothing is deleted. You come back whenever you want, with no time limit: open Yeax, tap "Reactivate" and everything is as it was.

Delete. You disappear in the same instant, and a 30-day countdown begins. When it runs out, your account and your data are erased for good. During those 30 days you can cancel.

What happens right away

Pausing and deleting do the same thing the moment you ask, before any waiting:

• You leave the people search and your profile stops being visible.
• Your photos, posts, statuses and comments are hidden.
• You leave the 3D world, your session on the phone is closed and you stop receiving notifications.
• Messages you sent stay in other people's chats, because they are their copy; the thread name becomes "Account deleted".

The 30 days, and how to cancel

When you confirm, the app tells you the exact date your account is erased. To cancel, all you have to do is come back: open Yeax, sign in and tap the button to restore your account. Everything returns and the deletion is called off. You do not have to write to anyone.

On day 30 it is really erased: profile, photos, videos, posts, statuses, comments, friendships, sessions, linked devices, uploaded files and your sign-in. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke that permission. After that day nothing can be recovered.

What is kept and what is not

After the deletion there is no name of yours left, no email, no photo, nothing readable. The only things we keep are these:

• An encrypted fingerprint of your email. It is not your email: it is an irreversible code that cannot be turned back into an address. It serves one purpose only: recognizing that you had been here if you ever come back, and offering you your username again.
• Counts without a name. How many days you had the account, how many photos and statuses you had, the country and language of the phone, and the reason you picked when leaving, if you picked one. None of that identifies you.
• Your username, reserved for 90 days, in case you come back. After 90 days it is released.
• The records the law requires us to keep, without your name.

Nothing else is kept: not your email, not your name, not your photo, not your posts, not your files, not your history. Any diamonds you have left are lost and are not refunded; purchases made on Google Play or the App Store are claimed at the store where you paid, not at Yeax.

Take your things with you first

Before you confirm, the app offers you a download of your own things in a .zip file: photos, videos, posts, statuses, comments and your friend list. The link lasts 7 days. Chat messages are not in the package: they are end-to-end encrypted and their key lives on your phone, not on our servers. You can also ask for the download from Privacy, without leaving.

How to ask for it

From the app, which is the fastest way: open Yeax, go to your profile, tap the menu and choose "Leave Yeax". Both doors are there.

Without the app, or if you already uninstalled it: install Yeax again, sign in and tap Delete, because your account is still there; or write to us at privacidad@yeax.app from your account's email. The deletion starts with the same 30 days. If you write from another address we will ask you for some way to prove the account is yours: it is the only way to make sure nobody deletes someone else's account.
